The government has announced a major reduction in jet fuel prices, slashing the rate by Rs. 111.44 per litre with immediate effect.

According to an official notification issued on Saturday, the price of jet fuel has been reduced from Rs. 441.66 per litre to Rs. 330.22 per litre.

The revised prices have come into effect immediately and are expected to provide relief to the aviation sector amid fluctuating global oil prices.

Meanwhile, the government has increased the price of light diesel oil by Rs. 8.08 per litre. Following the hike, the new price of light diesel oil has been fixed at Rs. 273.92 per litre compared to the previous rate of Rs. 265.84 per litre.

The latest revision reflects ongoing adjustments in petroleum product prices in line with international market trends and domestic pricing policies.
