Sadie Sink reportedly cast as Jean Grey in ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’

A trusted scooper has claimed online that Sink will portray the iconic ‘X-Men’ character in ‘Spider-Man 4’

Sadie Sink is reportedly set to play Jean Grey in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, according to a new claim circulating among Marvel insiders.

Marvel Studios has not officially confirmed Sink’s role in the upcoming Spider-Man sequel. However, trusted scooper Cryptic HD QUALITY has stated on X that the Stranger Things actress will portray the iconic X-Men character in the film.

Sink was first cast in Spider-Man: Brand New Day in March 2025 in an undisclosed role. At the time, Deadline reported that “the prevailing theory is she’ll be introduced as X-Men character Jean Grey,” a suggestion first raised by insider Jeff Sneider in December 2024. Sink later appeared to dismiss speculation linking her to the role shortly after her casting was announced.

Given that Jean Grey is traditionally associated with the X-Men, her potential introduction in a Spider-Man film prompted debate among Marvel Cinematic Universe fans. Questions centred on whether the studio intended to debut Jean Grey in this instalment or whether Sink had been cast in an alternative role.

Leaked plot details also suggested that the character believed to be Jean Grey may display more antagonistic traits. One reported scene allegedly shows her using mind control abilities to manipulate Department of Damage Control guards into helping Scorpion escape from prison. Additional claims indicate she may turn Bruce Banner back into the Hulk.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is scheduled for release on July 31, 2026, leaving audiences awaiting official confirmation of Sink’s role in the Phase 6 project.
