Tom Hardy has reportedly exited the third season of MobLand following alleged behind-the-scenes tensions during production, according to Puck.

The report states that Paramount has decided not to pick up Hardy’s option for Season 3 after reported clashes on set during the second season.

Hardy plays Harry Da Souza, a fixer involved with the Harrigan crime family in the series, which also stars Helen Mirren and Pierce Brosnan.

The actor allegedly had disagreements with producers Jez Butterworth and David Glasser, with sources claiming issues included lateness on set, script notes, and attempts to alter dialogue.

The report also suggests Hardy was dissatisfied with the series shifting towards a broader ensemble focus.

“Paramount recently decided not to pick up Hardy for Season 3 after the actor clashed with producers Jez Butterworth and David Glasser,” Puck reported.

The outlet further claimed tensions escalated to the point where Butterworth allegedly considered stepping away from the production, though this was not confirmed by those involved. Paramount ultimately opted to continue with the creative team rather than lose key producers.

Puck also noted that Hardy’s contract included a mutual option for a third season, meaning he could also have chosen to exit the series voluntarily.

MobLand became a major success for Paramount+, which previously described it as its biggest global series premiere, drawing 2.2 million viewers on launch day.
