Drake appeared to take aim at DJ Khaled over Palestine on a track from his newly released visual album, ICEMAN.

The Canadian rapper premiered the project through ICEMAN Episode 4, with fans quickly dissecting several lyrical references aimed at figures across the music industry.

Much of the attention surrounding the album has focused on continued shots directed at Kendrick Lamar, while listeners have also speculated about references to A$AP Rocky, Rihanna and Jay-Z.

However, one of the album’s most discussed moments involved DJ Khaled. During a track on the project, Drake directly referenced the producer and commented on his lack of public statements regarding Palestine.

“Khaled you know what I mean… Your people are still waiting for a ‘Free Palestine’ but apparently everything isn’t black and white and red and green,” Drake rapped.

DJ Khaled, whose family is of Palestinian heritage, has faced criticism online in recent years from some activists and fans who believe he should speak more openly about the conflict in Gaza and Palestine. The producer has not publicly responded to Drake’s lyric.

The album also includes appearances from artists including Future, Molly Santana and 21 Savage.

ICEMAN has been presented as a visual album, with Drake using episodic releases to unveil the project. The rollout has also featured appearances from comedian Shane Gillis and media personality DJ Akademiks.
