The Netflix series XO, Kitty returns today for its third season, continuing the story of Kitty Song Covey as she navigates love, identity and family history at the Korean Independent School of Seoul.

Season 2 left several relationships unresolved while deepening the show’s emotional stakes.

Following her break-up with Dae, Kitty entered a complicated love triangle involving her friends Yuri and Min Ho. Throughout the season, she struggled to reconcile her feelings, initially pursuing Yuri while attempting to move forward with Praveena. Yuri, who was in a relationship with Juliana, also found herself torn, culminating in a kiss with Kitty that disrupted multiple friendships.

Romantic tensions extended across the group. Q formed a stable relationship with Jin, while Dae began dating Eunice before their eventual split. Meanwhile, Juliana moved on with Praveena after distancing herself from Yuri.

Alongside its romantic developments, Season 2 focused heavily on Kitty’s family history. Determined to understand her late mother Eve’s past, Kitty uncovered the story of a long-standing rift between her grandmother and great-aunt. With help from Min Ho, she tracked down relatives connected to the conflict, including Jiwon, and worked to repair the fractured relationship. The season concluded with a successful reunion between the sisters, supported by Margot, who noted Kitty’s similarities to Eve.

Kitty’s bond with Min Ho strengthened over time, particularly after his break-up with Stella. Although neither confessed their feelings, Kitty asked to join him on tour over the summer, suggesting a potential relationship in the next season.

Season 3 is set to follow Kitty’s final year at K.I.S.S., where she aims to resolve her academic challenges and define her future, while navigating lingering romantic complications and evolving friendships.
