vivo S60 Leak Confirms Large Battery and Premium Features
Vivo will unveil the S60 on May 29, and new leaks have now revealed almost everything about the phone. A source on Weibo has shared the full specifications of the upcoming model. The leak also mentions another version called the Vitality Edition, which will launch in China alongside the standard model.
The Vivo S60 will reportedly feature a 6.59-inch flat display with 1260p resolution. The phone is expected to run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset. On the back, it may include a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide sensor, and a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. The telephoto sensor will reportedly use Sony’s IMX882 sensor. Meanwhile, the front side could house a 50MP selfie camera.
Vivo may also pack a large 7,200 mAh battery inside the device. In addition, the phone is expected to support 90W wired charging. The upcoming S60 will reportedly feature a metal frame and a glass back. It is also said to carry IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. The phone measures 157.52 x 74.33 x 7.92 mm and weighs 207g.
Besides that, the device may include an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers, an IR blaster, and an X-axis linear vibration motor.
The Vitality Edition will reportedly share most of the same features. However, Vivo may remove the telephoto camera from this version. The company is also expected to use MediaTek’s Dimensity 7500 chipset instead of the Snapdragon processor. Due to the missing telephoto sensor, the phone weighs slightly less at 199g.
Interestingly, Vivo launched the S50 globally as the V70 Elite with a few small changes. Because of that, the upcoming V80 Elite could also arrive with specifications similar to the S60.
