Eid-ul-Azha 2026 Namaz Timings in Islamabad & Rawalpindi

Eid-ul-Azha is officially confirmed for tomorrow, Wednesday, May 27, 2026 (10 Dhul Hijjah 1447 AH). The government has already scheduled public holidays from May 26 to May 28, 2026. Consequently, the twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi are finalizing preparations for Eid-ul-Azha Namaz. Authorities strongly urge citizens to arrive at their designated locations early. This proactive approach prevents severe overcrowding and gives worshippers ample time to complete their Qurbani rituals within the permitted window.

Essential Guidelines for Worshippers

Before heading to the mosque, citizens should perform ghusl, dress in their best clothes, and recite Takbir-e-Tashriq along the way. The Eid prayer consists of two rak’ahs with extra Takbeerat, immediately followed by a khutbah. Worshippers should note that no Adhan or Iqamah is called for this prayer.

Furthermore, residents must follow official traffic advisories to avoid gridlock, particularly around the Blue Area, I-8, G-11, and prominent Rawalpindi sectors. Several select locations have also established special arrangements to accommodate women. Above all, this festival commemorates Prophet Ibrahim’s (AS) devotion to Allah’s command. It actively promotes sacrifice, family unity, and crucial charity through the distribution of Qurbani meat.
