Two-day cultural festival `Made in KP’ attracts art lovers, local craftsmen


PESHAWAR  –  Under the auspices of Collage Promotion, a two-day cultural festival titled “Made in KP” was organised in Hayatabad, Peshawar, showcasing the rich culture, traditions, and local craftsmanship of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in a vibrant manner. The festival featured a wide variety of colorful stalls displaying traditional clothing, jewelry, handicrafts, wax art, perfumes, paintings, and other locally made products.  A large number of citizens attended the event and showed keen interest in the traditional items on display. Women, youth, and families visited different stalls, while local artists and entrepreneurs were provided with an opportunity to introduce and promote their products. Participants and stallholders termed the festival a commendable initiative and emphasized that such events should be organized regularly to provide local entrepreneurs and skilled artisans with better opportunities to market their products and expand their businesses.

They said that such platforms not only strengthen local industries but also encourage women and youth towards self-employment and entrepreneurship. Speaking to the media, Program Organizer Maryam Iqbal said that the objective of organizing the “Made in KP” festival was to highlight the positive image of the province and bring local talent to the forefront. She added that the skilled people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa possess immense talent and that such events play a vital role in introducing local products at the national level. She further stated that similar activities would continue to be organized in the future to create more opportunities for youth, women, and small businesses. The event concluded with a Mosaic Concert, which attracted a large crowd and provided an enjoyable musical evening for the attendees.  The concert added further excitement to the festival atmosphere, while participants appreciated the cultural and entertainment activities and termed the event a successful initiative.
