Saif-ul-Muluk Lake reopens for tourists

MANSEHRA  –  The district administration in Mansehra has reopened the road to Saif-ul-Muluk Lake for tourists after issuing an official notification.  Visitors will now be allowed to travel on the route daily between 9am and 4pm. The road had been closed a week ago because of unfavourable weather conditions. The administration said the decision was taken to protect tourists and ensure safe travel along the mountainous route. Officials have warned that the road may be closed again if weather conditions deteriorate. The Assistant Commissioner of Balakot has been authorised to suspend access whenever public safety is at risk. The administration added that any future decision to close the road will be based on travel advisories and weather forecasts issued by the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) and the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA).
