Martin Garrix announces debut album ‘MARTY’ featuring Madonna, U2 and Ed Sheeran
The 14-track project, the first album of the artist, will arrive on March 5, 2027
Martin Garrix has announced the release date for his long-awaited album MARTY, featuring collaborations with Madonna, U2, Ed Sheeran and Spanish singer AITANA. The 14-track project will arrive on March 5, 2027, marking a new chapter in the Dutch DJ and producer’s career.
Announced on October 21, the album will be released through Darkroom Records and Garrix’s own label, STMPD RCRDS. Named after his first DJ alias, MARTY explores different chapters of his life, tracing his journey from childhood through his rise to international stardom.
Although Garrix previously released Sentio in 2022, he describes that project as a club album, positioning MARTY as his first pop-dance record. The new release also sees him step beyond his established role as a DJ and producer, singing solo on four tracks for the first time.
The album features several high-profile collaborations, including Madonna on Bizarre, U2 on Fireflies and Ed Sheeran on Rewind Repeat It. The latter track was created more than a decade ago before its eventual release, while Garrix’s collaboration with U2 brings together the producer and all four members of the legendary Irish rock band.
AITANA will also appear on Garrix’s first Spanish-language song, with its title yet to be officially announced. Additional collaborators are expected to be revealed ahead of the album’s release.
Garrix has already shared several tracks connected to the project. Catharina, released in March 2026, is a personal song dedicated to his mother, while Bizarre, featuring Madonna, arrived in July. His latest single, This Dream of You, was released on October 2.
Speaking to Rolling Stone, Garrix reflected on working with some of the music industry’s most celebrated artists, describing the experience as surreal. He also explained that he had remained comfortable behind the DJ booth for much of his career, but had increasingly become interested in exploring his identity beyond producing electronic dance music.
The album’s release comes more than a decade after Garrix rose to global fame with Animals in 2013. Since then, he has collaborated with artists including Dua Lipa, Usher, Macklemore and Fall Out Boy’s Patrick Stump, establishing himself as one of electronic dance music’s most recognisable names.
With MARTY, Garrix is set to combine his signature dance production with a more personal, pop-focused sound, offering listeners a closer look at the artist behind the DJ decks.
