ISLAMABAD  –  The Embassy of Romania in Islamabad, led by Ambassador Dr Dan Stoenescu, hosted a reception at the Romanian residence to celebrate Romania’s Independence Day in collaboration with Peshawar Barracks. The event, themed as a ‘KP Evening’, showcased the culture and hospitality of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa through traditional Pashtun cuisine, live BBQ, folk music, and cultural dance performances. Romanian traditions were also highlighted through traditional attire worn by the staff. Honourary Consul Masood Ahmad Qazi spoke about the hospitality and rich heritage of KP, while Ambassador Stoenescu highlighted the significance of Romania’s Independence Day and expressed solidarity with Ukraine. The reception was attended by ambassadors, diplomats, business representatives, media persons, and other distinguished guests.
