Whitney Leavitt is leaving Hulu’s The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, the reality television personality turned Broadway performer confirmed during her final appearance in Chicago on Sunday.

Her representative also confirmed the news to Deadline, which first reported the development.

Leavitt has featured in every episode of the Emmy-nominated series, which centres on a group of Mormon mother influencers navigating a scandal that challenges their faith, friendships and public image.

The programme, which premiered in September 2024, recently faced disruption after production was paused following an alleged domestic violence incident involving cast member Taylor Frankie Paul.

Charges against Paul were later dropped after footage showed her throwing a metal stool at ex-boyfriend Dakota Mortensen. Disney has since confirmed filming for Season 5 will resume, though no timeline has been announced.

Her departure comes as she expands her career beyond reality television. Leavitt is set to make her feature debut as both executive producer and lead actor in All for Love (working title), a holiday romantic comedy from The Ninth House, known for Lifetime’s Forever.

She has previously signalled her ambitions in acting through social media updates about the project.

The move follows a period of rising visibility, including her participation in Dancing with the Stars Season 34, where she reached the semi-finals alongside professional partner Mark Ballas.

She later made her Broadway debut as Roxie Hart in Chicago, which opened on February 2 and extended its run due to strong ticket sales.

It remains unclear whether Leavitt will appear in any capacity in the partially filmed fifth season of the Hulu series.
