A London restaurant owned by celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay has come under scrutiny after a customer alleged that a dog was allowed to urinate and defecate inside the premises, raising concerns about hygiene standards.

The claims were shared on social media by influencer gizzellecade and have not been publicly addressed by Ramsay or his restaurant group.

The incident reportedly took place at Gordon Ramsay Street Pizza in Battersea.

In a video posted online, the customer described witnessing the situation while dining with her family. She said, “I’m at a Ramsay Pizza restaurant in London and I want to tell you guys never come in here. I’m sitting at this restaurant enjoying a beautiful evening with my husband and my newborn baby and I look up and I see some woman with her dog on a wee-wee pad taking a pi*s and a sh*t.”

She further alleged that staff did not intervene despite being informed. “I tell the patron, the lady who’s working, the waitress, whatever, about this. She doesn’t do anything about it. The manager was there the entire time. He said nothing”, she claimed, adding that “Gordon Ramsay is known for running his restaurants and his kitchens a certain way and that was not there that night”.

In a follow-up video, the customer stated that she chose to leave the restaurant and confirmed that the 15% service charge she initially had to pay was removed after a dispute, though the bill was still paid in full.

The claims have prompted debate online, with several users noting that while dog-friendly policies, including for service animals, are permitted in restaurants, such incidents would typically be considered a breach of health regulations.

No official response has been issued by Gordon Ramsay or the restaurant at the time of writing.
