Ericsson Highlights 5G, AI-Led Growth Potential at EU–Pakistan Business Forum 2026!
At the first EU–Pakistan Business Forum 2026, Ericsson made a clear point. Strong connectivity, AI, and 5G can push Pakistan’s digital economy forward. The company shared this message during key sessions in Islamabad, where global and local leaders gathered to discuss future growth.
The two-day event brought together senior government officials, technology firms, investors, and industry experts. They explored new paths for investment, innovation, and closer economic ties between Pakistan and the European Union. As a result, the forum became a platform for practical ideas and long-term collaboration.
During roundtable talks and keynote sessions, Ericsson explained how next-generation networks and AI-based systems can improve productivity. These technologies can support major sectors such as logistics, energy, mobility, and financial services. All of these sectors play a key role in Pakistan’s long-term economic progress.
At the same time, discussions made one thing clear. Connectivity is no longer just a support system. Instead, it now acts as a core driver of economic growth. It directly affects competitiveness, helps businesses expand, and improves digital access for more people.
Ericsson Pakistan’s Country President, Aamir Ahsan, spoke alongside the Federal Minister for IT and Telecom. He stressed the need for strong public and private partnerships. He also highlighted that clear policies, spectrum readiness, and investor-friendly rules will help unlock the full power of 5G and AI in Pakistan.
Meanwhile, Ericsson used its exhibition booth to present its latest technologies. The company showed how high-performance networks can open new business opportunities. These networks also improve efficiency and support modern use cases across different industries.
This participation comes at a time when Pakistan is focusing more on digital infrastructure. The country sees it as a key part of economic development. Experts believe that faster adoption of advanced connectivity can boost productivity, improve services, and attract foreign investment.
Ericsson has a long history in Pakistan. The company continues to work with telecom operators, businesses, and government partners. Together, they aim to build secure and scalable networks. These efforts will support innovation, strengthen the economy, and promote inclusive growth across the country.
