Khloé Kardashian’s billboard sparks debate over appearance in Khlooud campaign
Netizens accused her of ‘blackfishing’, noting that she appeared noticeably darker than in previous public appearances
Khloé Kardashian has drawn widespread online attention following the release of a new billboard campaign in Los Angeles, with some viewers questioning her appearance in the advertisement.
The reality television personality appears in promotional material for Khlooud protein chips, where she is shown posing in a red tank top with gold accessories while holding the product.
Images of the billboard circulated on social media, prompting discussion among users who noted that she appeared noticeably darker than in previous public appearances.
Several online reactions compared her look to other public figures, with one user writing, “Emm… Khloyonce?” Others raised concerns about the styling and presentation, with comments including, “It does look like Ai blended their faces together. This is blackfishing.” Another post questioned, “Why is she in blackface?” while others expressed confusion about the overall image.
The discussion reflects ongoing scrutiny of celebrity advertising campaigns and image presentation, particularly in relation to digital editing, lighting and branding choices.
The campaign forms part of her broader business portfolio. She continues to serve as co-founder of Good American, a fashion brand established in 2016 with Emma Grede, which has grown significantly in value in recent years.
In addition, she is set to become the first global brand ambassador for It’s a 10 Haircare, with a rebrand expected to be unveiled at Ulta Beauty World.
Outside of her business ventures, Kardashian remains focused on family life, co-parenting her two children. She has previously stated that she is not currently seeking a relationship following her separation from Tristan Thompson.
The billboard campaign remains visible across Los Angeles as public reaction continues online.
