Speaking to British Vogue, the singer explained the ideas behind the track, focusing on feelings of intuition and emotional intensity. She described the song as being inspired by having “premonitions in her relationship” and referred to this as “feminine intuition”.

“I’m very stubborn and if I like someone, I’m like, ‘Yo, this is going to happen. This is rare! Let’s do it,’” she said, outlining the mindset behind the lyrics.
