Karachi Kings pacer Mir Hamza dismissed Mohammad Naeem with a return catch during the sixth Pakistan Super League (PSL) match against Lahore Qalandars at Gaddafi Stadium.

The dismissal occurred in the fourth over when the opening batter Naeem struck the ball powerfully back towards the bowler, who reacted quickly and completed the catch.

The left-arm fast bowler intercepted the ball at chest height in his follow through and held on despite falling, removing Naeem for 13 runs from 12 deliveries.

The wicket left the defended champions Lahore Qalandars at 28 for two in the powerplay after earlier losing opening batter Fakhar Zaman, who was stumped for one.

England spinner Moeen Ali claimed the first wicket as Azam Khan completed the stumping, giving Karachi Kings an early advantage after opting for spin opening strategy.

Abdullah Shafique continued scoring for Lahore Qalandars, reaching 23 not out from 17 balls, while Parvez Hossain Emon remained on three from five deliveries.

At the end of six overs, the Shaheen Shah-led Lahore Qalandars were 42 for two with Mir Hamza returning figures of one for eleven in two overs.
