Director Josh Safdie has revealed that Robert Pattinson has a hidden role in Marty Supreme, the awards-season film starring Timothée Chalamet, a detail that went unnoticed by most viewers until now.

According to Safdie, Pattinson provides the voice of the announcer and umpire during the British Open semifinals sequence in the film. “No one knows this, but that voice, the commentator, the umpire, is Pattinson,” Safdie said, describing the uncredited appearance as a playful Easter egg.

Safdie explained that the cameo came together informally while Pattinson was visiting the set. “He came and watched some footage, and I was like, ‘I don’t know any British people. So he’s the umpire,’” the director joked, noting how naturally the idea fit into the scene.

The subtle vocal performance marks another collaboration between Pattinson and Safdie following their work together on Good Time. It also connects Pattinson and Chalamet, who are set to appear together in Dune: Part Three, further fueling fan excitement around their professional crossover.
