The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Wednesday announced the schedule for Australia’s upcoming three-match T20I series in Pakistan, with all matches set to be played at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, later this month.

According to the PCB, the Pakistan vs Australia T20I series will take place on January 29, January 31 and February 1, 2026, marking another high-profile bilateral assignment between the two teams ahead of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026.
Australia’s T20I squad is scheduled to arrive in Lahore on Wednesday, January 28. The coin toss for all three matches will be held at 5:30pm Pakistan Standard Time (PKT), with the first ball bowled at 6:00pm PKT, the PCB confirmed.

The series is expected to provide vital match practice for both sides as they fine-tune preparations for the global event. Pakistan have been placed in Group A of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, while Australia will compete in Group B, making the series an important checkpoint for team combinations and player form.

This tour will be Australia’s third visit to Pakistan since March–April 2022, when they played a historic three-match Test series followed by an ODI series and a lone T20I. Australia also featured in three matches of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 in Pakistan, underlining the growing regularity of international cricket returning to the country.

The only previous T20I between Pakistan and Australia at Gaddafi Stadium took place on April 5, 2022, when the visitors edged out a three-wicket victory in a closely contested match.

PCB Chief Operating Officer Sumair Ahmed Syed welcomed the announcement, describing the tour as a major boost for fans and the domestic cricket calendar.

“We are excited to host Australia for the three-match T20I series in Lahore. The tour marks a blockbuster start to the year for Pakistan cricket fans, and we encourage them to turn out in large numbers to support both teams as they put the final touches to their T20 World Cup preparations,” he said.

He added that Gaddafi Stadium has become a familiar venue for Australia, having hosted a Test, five ODIs and a T20I involving the visitors since 2022.
Series schedule (all matches at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore):
1st T20I – Thursday, January 29 – 6:00pm PKT
2nd T20I – Saturday, January 31 – 6:00pm PKT
3rd T20I – Sunday, February 1 – 6:00pm PKT
