Aleem Khan Vows Change in Azad Kashmir if IPP Is Given a Chance

LAHORE (July 26): President of the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP), Abdul Aleem Khan, has called on the people of Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK) to reject what he described as the “same old parties and the same old promises,” urging voters to seize the upcoming elections as an opportunity to bring meaningful political and economic change to the region.

In a video message ahead of the AJK elections, Aleem Khan said the future of Azad Kashmir depends on responsible leadership capable of delivering tangible results rather than repeating unfulfilled commitments. He maintained that if the people entrust IPP with the responsibility to serve, the party will prioritize economic revival through investment, tourism development, employment generation, and transparent governance.

The IPP President emphasized that Azad Kashmir possesses immense economic potential, which can only be unlocked by creating a business-friendly environment that attracts both local and foreign investment. He said strengthening the local economy is essential for increasing incomes, generating sustainable employment, and accelerating infrastructure and public welfare projects across the region.

Highlighting tourism as a key driver of economic growth, Aleem Khan said Azad Kashmir’s natural beauty and tourism potential remain largely untapped. He stressed that modern tourism infrastructure, improved public facilities, and greater private-sector participation could significantly boost local revenues while creating thousands of employment opportunities, particularly for the youth.

Calling the vote a sacred trust, Aleem Khan urged citizens to assess candidates on their performance and credibility rather than political slogans or partisan loyalties. He appealed to young voters to play an active role in encouraging informed participation within their families and communities, saying the decisions made at the ballot box would shape the future of Azad Kashmir for generations to come.

Reaffirming IPP’s commitment to public service, Aleem Khan said the party’s vision is centered on economic stability, accountable governance, investment-led development, and creating opportunities that can place Azad Kashmir on a path toward long-term prosperity and self-reliance.
