‘Love Island USA’ Islanders frequently create euphemisms to discuss certain moments without explicitly mentioning them

Love Island USA viewers were introduced to a new code word for intimacy during the June 21 episode, after Kenzie Annis and Corbin Mims shared a late-night encounter in the villa.

The episode briefly showed Kenzie and Corbin hooking up in bed before fellow Islander Trinity Tatum suggested the pair had gone further than kissing.

The following morning, Trinity said she heard someone performing “french fries”, adding that it sounded “too wet” to be just a kiss.

Kenzie later appeared to confirm the intimate exchange during a confessional. “I was definitely getting some french fries. Feeling good,” she said. “We were probably doing a bit much honestly but I feel a strong connection with Corbin. We probably got a little bit carried away.”

Based on the footage shown during the episode, the phrase “french fries” appears to refer to sexual activity. However, some viewers have suggested the term could also be a broader reference to another intimate act, although no further explanation was provided on-screen.

The use of coded language is not new on Love Island USA Islanders have frequently created euphemisms to discuss intimate moments without explicitly describing them.

During Season 7, contestants reportedly used the term “journey” as a discreet way to refer to sexual encounters.

The introduction of Casa Amor during the same episode created further opportunities for new romantic connections and relationship drama in the coming days.
