Alhamra provides hands-on sculpture training to aspiring young artists


LAHORE – The Lahore Arts Council (Alhamra) organised a two-day Sculpture Training Workshop aimed at nurturing artistic talent among young people, drawing an enthusiastic response from aspiring artists. The workshop is being conducted by renowned sculptor and instructor at the Alhamra Academy of Performing Arts, Maisam Hussain, who is providing participants with hands-on training and professional guidance in the art of sculpture. On the occasion, Executive Director Alhamra Muhammad Nawaz Gondal said Pakistani youth possessed immense talent and were bringing pride to the country through achievements in various fields. He said Alhamra remained committed to creating meaningful learning opportunities in the fine arts and providing young artists with platforms to develop their creative abilities. He described the encouraging participation of young people in the sculpture workshop as a positive sign for the future of the arts, adding that Alhamra was ensuring a productive and inspiring environment where emerging artists could refine their skills and explore their creative potential. On the opening day, Naveen Roma of the Alhamra Academy of Performing Arts welcomed the participants. During an interactive session, Maisam Hussain shared insights from his professional experience and introduced participants to various sculpting techniques and practical skills. The young artists displayed keen interest and enthusiasm throughout the training sessions, actively engaging in the learning process. The Alhamra Academy of Performing Arts regularly organises workshops and training programmes that attract significant interest from young people. Through its educational initiatives, the academy continues to equip emerging artists with professional skills and opportunities to contribute to the country’s cultural development.
