Pakistan’s Armed Forces backbone of national security, says Dr Bhutta



LAHORE  –  Secretary and Chief Administrator Auqaf Punjab Dr Ehsan Bhutta said that the brave armed forces of Pakistan have made the defence of the homeland impregnable through their unparalleled courage, sacrifices, and outstanding professional capabilities, earning recognition across the world for their excellence. He stated that Pakistan’s armed forces serve as the backbone of national security, internal stability, and the maintenance of peace and order, and that due to their sacrifices, Pakistan is recognized globally as a secure, strong, and dignified state. He expressed these views while addressing a walk organized by the Punjab Auqaf Department and later a seminar held at Iqbal Hall, Badshahi Mosque on the theme of “Maarka-e-Haq.”Dr Ehsan Bhutta said that Pakistan’s armed forces have always raised the morale of the nation in difficult times and thwarted the malicious designs of enemies. He emphasized that the younger generation must take inspiration from these great sacrifices and play a constructive role in the development, stability, and service of the country. The first event commenced with a walk organized by the Punjab Auqaf Department, in which Director General Religious Affairs Hafiz Anees-ur-Rehman, Director Administration Auqaf , Muhammad Shakir Sandhu, Deputy Director Administration Auqaf Azeem Hayat, Provincial Khateeb Auqaf Maulana Mukhtar Ahmad Nadeem, Assistant Director Religious Affairs Ahmad Rehman, Assistant Director Tableegh-o-Tarbiyat Israr Shah  along with zonal and district khateebs, Auqaf officers, and employees participated enthusiastically. The purpose of the walk was to promote institutional unity, national awareness, intellectual awakening, and constructive thinking among the younger generation. Later, the central seminar on the theme “Maarka-e-Haq” was organized at Iqbal Hall, Badshahi Mosque, in collaboration with the Punjab Boy Scouts Association. Before the ceremony, around 70 to 80 young Boy Scouts visited the mausoleum of Allama Muhammad Iqbal situated within the Badshahi Mosque premises, laid a floral wreath, and offered Fateha. On this occasion, the Scouts paid tribute to Allama Iqbal and described his philosophy and vision as a guiding light for the younger generation. Special prayers were also offered for the peace, prosperity, and security of the country and nation.  Among those present on the occasion were Secretary Boy Scouts Tariq Qureshi Khateeb Badshahi Mosque, Maulana Syed Abdul Khabir Azad, Shahid Hameed Virk, Administrator Badshahi Mosque, and other senior officers. Addressing the gathering in his capacity as Commissioner Punjab Boy Scouts Association, Dr. Ehsan Bhutta expressed pleasure that a large number of young Scouts were participating in this intellectual and spiritual session at the historic Iqbal Hall. He said that the participation of youth in such positive activities is highly encouraging.  He further stated that “Maarka-e-Haq” symbolizes the eternal struggle between truth and falsehood, and that it is essential to equip the younger generation with this awareness so they may adopt truthfulness, integrity, tolerance, and strong national values in their practical lives.

He added that the message of Allama Iqbal is based on selfhood, self-confidence, hard work, and character building, which provides intellectual guidance for today’s youth.

He also said that the Punjab Auqaf Department is not limited to the maintenance and development of shrines of saints, but is also actively engaged in promoting harmony, tolerance, and peace in society through educational, spiritual, and training activities.  He emphasized that the active participation of the senior administration, officers, and employees of the Auqaf Department reflects the institution’s collective commitment to promoting intellectual, moral, and spiritual development.  The ceremony concluded with special prayers for the security, unity, and progress of the country and the nation.
