Klaudia Zakrzewska dies 6 days after Soho crash as Rielle faces murder charge
Police confirmed that the existing charge of attempted murder against Rielle will be amended to murder
Influencer Klaudia Zakrzewska has died following a collision involving a car in Soho, prompting police to confirm that charges in the case will be upgraded.
Zakrzewska, known online as Klaudiaglam, was struck outside the Inca nightclub in the early hours of Sunday morning. She had been in critical condition in hospital after the incident, which also involved two other pedestrians.
The Metropolitan Police confirmed that following her death, the existing charge of attempted murder against Gabrielle Carrington will be amended to murder.
Carrington, 29, who previously appeared on The X Factor as part of the group Miss Dynamix, had already been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent, actual bodily harm, dangerous driving and drink driving.
Detective Chief Inspector Alison Foxwell, leading the investigation, said, “We would like to express our deepest sympathies to Klaudia’s family and friends in light of this tragic update. Our thoughts are also with everyone impacted by this incident.” She added, “We recognise that this case has generated significant interest and discussion on social media; however, we would urge the public to refrain from further speculation.”
Foxwell also asked the public not to share graphic footage, stating that such material could affect the ongoing investigation and potential court proceedings.
Zakrzewska, believed to be in her 30s and originally from Poland, had built a following of approximately 258,000 on Instagram. The incident also left a security worker, Anoush Chyche, with life-changing injuries, while another woman, Latisha Armstrong, sustained minor injuries.
Court proceedings are ongoing, with Carrington remanded in custody following her initial appearance.
