Lainey Wilson resumes Stagecoach 2026 set after evacuation caused by high winds

The country music event in Indio, California, was interrupted on Saturday, April 25, due to weather conditions

Lainey Wilson resumed her headlining performance at Stagecoach 2026 after high winds forced a temporary evacuation, delivering a set that helped restore the festival atmosphere.

The country music event in Indio, California, was interrupted on Saturday, April 25, due to weather conditions.

Once attendees were allowed to return, Wilson took to the stage approximately an hour later than scheduled and opened with “Can’t Sit Still,” continuing as planned despite the disruption.

Her 90-minute performance included tracks such as “Wildflowers and Wild Horses,” “Road Runner,” and “Heart Like a Truck,” alongside a cover of Merle Haggard’s “I Think I’ll Just Stay Here and Drink.”

The stage production featured western-themed visuals, including cactus imagery and stylised footage of horses, complementing her outfit of leather chaps, a matching top and a black hat.

Wilson invited Riley Green and Little Big Town on stage during the set, encouraging them to “show me what you got” as part of the performance. Green, whose earlier appearance had been affected by the evacuation, later performed “I Wish Grandpas Never Died” solo.

Reflecting on the event, Wilson described Stagecoach as a “country music Christmas” due to the presence of fellow artists. She also referenced her upbringing in Louisiana before performing “Those Boots,” connecting the moment to themes explored in her documentary Keepin’ Country Cool.

During “Heart Like a Truck,” she brought a young audience member on stage to repeat affirmations, including “I am beautiful, I am smart, I can do anything,” before continuing the show.

Wilson concluded her set with “4x4xU” and “Heart Like a Truck,” maintaining momentum despite earlier challenges and completing her headline appearance as scheduled.
