Jennie to make comeback with new EP by the end of August

OA Entertainment confirmed on August 19 that Jennie is intensifying preparations for the release

BLACKPINK’s Jennie is preparing to make her comeback with a new EP by the end of August, according to her agency OA Entertainment (ODDATELIER).

The agency confirmed on August 19 that Jennie is intensifying preparations for the release, following a year in which she performed at several major international music festivals.

Jennie headlined seven global festivals this year, including The Governors Ball Music Festival in New York, Roskilde Festival in Denmark, Open’er Festival in Poland, 2026 MAD COOL FESTIVAL in Spain and SUMMER SONIC 2026 in Japan.

The performances also gave fans early previews of several previously unreleased tracks expected to feature in her upcoming music.

Jennie performed “Less than a Lover”, “FALLEN ANGEL” and “lockitdown” at selected festival appearances, increasing anticipation for her next release.

“Less than a Lover” has already recorded a notable achievement in China, receiving gold certification on QQ Music shortly after its release.

According to Starnews Korea, it became the only female solo single released this year to receive the recognition.

The song also topped Mnet’s M Countdown for two consecutive weeks, further highlighting Jennie’s performance as a solo artist.

The news comes after OA Entertainment announced legal action yesterday over alleged maliciously edited videos, false information and posts that it says violate Jennie’s privacy and personal rights.
