Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodríguez have tied the knot, confirming their marriage in a joint Instagram post on Tuesday.

The couple shared a photograph of their hands resting on top of each other, showing matching wedding bands alongside Rodríguez’s engagement ring. A statement said they married in a private civil ceremony in Cascais, Portugal, attended by their five children.

“Sí, quiero. En esta y en todas mis vidas” — “Yes, I do. In this and in all my lives” — Rodríguez wrote in the caption.

The wedding took place exactly one year after Rodríguez announced the couple’s engagement on Instagram on Aug 11, 2025.

The marriage also ended speculation that had circulated over the weekend, when crowds gathered in Madeira, Ronaldo’s birthplace, believing the couple was getting married there. The gathering, however, turned out to be for another couple.

Ronaldo, 41, and Rodríguez, 32, met in 2016 and have been together since. They have a blended family of five children — Ronaldo’s eldest son Cristiano Jr., twins Eva Maria and Mateo, and daughters Alana and Bella.

The couple also suffered the loss of Bella’s twin brother, who died shortly after the twins’ birth in 2022.

Speaking to Elle Spain in December 2025 about Ronaldo’s proposal, Rodríguez said she had been completely surprised and needed time to process the engagement.

Rodríguez has previously spoken about the depth of their relationship in her Netflix documentary series I Am Georgina, recalling that she had not expected to fall so deeply in love with Ronaldo.
