Saudi Arabia Issues Tough Visa Deadline Warning to Foreign Residents

Saudi Arabia will impose fines of up to 50,000 Saudi Riyals, six months in prison, and deportation on foreign nationals who overstay their visas and fail to leave the kingdom on time.

The Ministry of Interior announced in a statement that any foreigner who does not depart the kingdom by the end of their visa’s validity will face strict legal action under Saudi law.

Penalties for such violations include a fine of up to 50,000 Saudi Riyals, imprisonment for up to six months, and subsequent deportation from the country.

The ministry emphasized that Saudi Arabia is strictly enforcing its immigration laws and that violations related to residency, labor, and border regulations will not be tolerated under any circumstances.

Authorities urged all foreign nationals to monitor their visa validity, leave the kingdom within the permitted period, and ensure full compliance with Saudi laws to avoid legal action and penalties.

Violations can be reported by calling 911 in Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, while residents in all other regions of the kingdom have been directed to report such cases by calling 999.
