A leaked internal database has reportedly revealed that Madison Square Garden Entertainment maintained detailed profiles on hundreds of high-profile visitors, categorising celebrities by perceived risk levels and, in some cases, recording personal information including sexual orientation and gender identity.

According to a report by WIRED, the exposed database shows the New York entertainment company kept extensive records on musicians, actors, athletes and politicians who attended events at its venues.

The company, led by executive chairman James Dolan, allegedly assigned internal “risk” ratings based on individuals’ perceived relationship with the corporation.

The report states that a section of the database focused specifically on well-known public figures.

Around 93 celebrities were reportedly labelled with an “LGBTQIA” tag, including singer Phoebe Bridgers, musician Ricky Martin and actor Emily Green. The purpose of recording these identity-based classifications was not disclosed in the leaked files.

According to the report, the database also included guests who attended the high-profile Madison Square Garden wedding of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce.

Several attendees from the private event were reportedly listed, suggesting the company’s internal records extended to exclusive functions hosted at the venue.

The leaked files also outlined a tiered risk assessment system used to classify VIP guests. Individuals were reportedly categorised as High Risk, Medium Risk, Low Risk or Banned from MSG based on factors including previous disputes with the company, public criticism or incidents at its venues.

Among those reportedly classified as High Risk were rappers Lil Jon, Freddie Gibbs, DaBaby and A Boogie Wit da Hoodie. Medium Risk reportedly included Morgan Wallen, Lily Allen, David Harbour, Jadakiss and Fat Joe, while Low Risk included Ben Stiller, Tracy Morgan, Edie Falco, Selena Gomez, Ice Spice, Benson Boone, Michael Strahan and Mariska Hargitay. Rapper Lil Tjay was reportedly listed as banned following an incident at the Hulu Theater.

The report also alleges the database extended beyond celebrities.

The leaked records included information on elected officials, political candidates backed by the Madison Square Garden Political Action Committee and individuals who supported the company’s land permit renewal efforts.

The revelations add to previous scrutiny surrounding Madison Square Garden’s use of facial recognition technology and broader security practices.
