The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has transferred and appointed Mubashir Hasan, a BS-20 officer of the Information Group, as the new Director General (DG), Digital Communication Department, with immediate effect.

According to an official notification issued on July 9, 2026, Mubashir Hasan has been posted to the Digital Communication Department, Islamabad, until further orders.

Before his new assignment, he was serving as Executive Director General/Principal Information Officer (PIO) at the Press Information Department (PID), Islamabad.

The notification states that the appointment takes effect immediately and will remain in force until further orders. The transfer is part of the federal government’s ongoing administrative reshuffle within the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
