Punjab to observe public holidays on June 25, 26 for Ashura
LAHORE – The government of Punjab has declared public holidays on the 9th and 10th of Muharram 1448 A.H., falling on June 25 and 26, 2026, across the province in observance of Ashura. According to a notification issued by the S&GAD, the holidays will be observed by all provincial government offices operating under both five-day and six-day working week schedules.
The notification stated that the decision has been taken to facilitate the observance of Muharram and related religious activities across Punjab.
