Sunday Bazars Ban LPG Cylinders Following Crackdown on Illegal Usage
The Islamabad district administration has banned the use of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinders across all weekly markets in the federal capital to ensure public safety.
During an enforcement operation at the H-9 Sunday market, an assistant commissioner detained nine shopkeepers for using illegal gas cylinders and placing them in the middle of pedestrian walkways, which obstructed customers.
The individuals were subsequently transferred to a local police station for legal action.
Following the operation, the Deputy Commissioner of Islamabad directed all assistant commissioners to enforce the prohibition strictly across their respective jurisdictions.
