Heming shares rare Bruce Willis video as she celebrates milestone birthday

LOS ANGELES – Emma Heming is looking ahead to a new chapter as she enters her 50s after a “heavy” decade as Bruce Willis’ caregiver wife. The former model recently shared a throwback video on Instagram showing Bruce singing “Happy Birthday” to her in a high-pitched voice after inhaling helium from a balloon. Their daughters, Mabel and Evelyn, could also be heard laughing in the background as the actor danced and joked around. In her caption, Emma said she was ready to embrace her 50s after what she described as a “heavy” decade. She said she was proud of how far she had come as a wife, mother, caregiver and advocate following Bruce’s diagnosis with frontotemporal dementia (FTD). Emma also spoke on the work being done through the Emma & Bruce Willis Fund, which raises awareness of FTD, support caregivers and advance research into the condition. She said her birthday wish was for families affected by dementia to receive more support, resources and understanding. Several family members also shared messages of support, including Bruce’s daughters Rumer and Tallulah Willis. Bruce’s ex-wife, actress Demi Moore, also paid tribute to Emma on social media, praising her work and saying she was proud to call her family.
Bruce was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia in 2023. The condition affects behaviour, personality and language abilities. Throughout his health journey, Emma has become a leading advocate for caregivers and families dealing with dementia, often speaking publicly about the challenges they face.
