The Federal Board of Revenue has announced that all its field formations across the country will remain operational on June 27 and 28, 2026, despite the weekend, to facilitate the collection of taxes and duties before the close of the fiscal year.

According to an official notification issued on Friday, FBR offices will observe normal working hours on Saturday and Sunday, while extended working hours will be observed on June 29 and 30, 2026, to maximize revenue collection and assist taxpayers in meeting their obligations before the end of FY2025-26.

The directive applies to all major FBR field formations, including:

• Large Taxpayer Offices (LTOs)
• Medium Taxpayer Offices (MTOs)
• Corporate Tax Offices (CTOs)
• Regional Tax Offices (RTOs)

The tax authority has instructed all offices to strictly comply with the revised schedule and ensure uninterrupted services for taxpayers during the final days of the fiscal year.

The move is part of FBR’s annual efforts to boost tax collection and achieve revenue targets before the fiscal year concludes on June 30. Extended operations are expected to facilitate taxpayers, businesses, and corporate entities seeking to complete tax payments and fulfill statutory requirements within the prescribed deadline.

Officials said the decision will help streamline revenue collection activities and support the government’s fiscal management objectives as the financial year comes to a close.
