Art competition held to mark 75 years of Pakistan-China friendship
RAWALPINDI – A ceremony and painting competition were held at Government Graduate College for Women, B-Block Satellite Town, to mark 75 years of Pakistan-China friendship, with participation from students of 20 colleges across the district. The event aimed to pay tribute to the longstanding ties between Pakistan and China while promoting creative expression among young students. Participants presented artworks on themes including economic cooperation, cultural harmony, bilateral relations and symbolic representations of friendship. The artworks were displayed in an organised exhibition which drew appreciation from attendees. Director Colleges Rawalpindi Division Amjad Khattak and Assistant Director Colleges Ms Ana Riaz attended as chief guests. Addressing the ceremony, Amjad Khattak said such activities were essential as they not only enhanced students’ creative abilities but also helped project a positive image at national and international levels. He appreciated the talent and efforts of the participants. Principal Dr Fatima Gul served as a focal person for the event. Under her supervision, the college team ensured organized arrangements for the competition. Amjad Khattak commended the principal and her team for the arrangements, noting that the large number of submitted artworks had been displayed in an impressive manner. The three-day event was attended by a large number of students, teachers and guests. Prizes were distributed among the top-performing participants at the closing ceremony.
