Iqbal’s message continues to guide youth from dreams to fulfilment: Nabeel Javed



LAHORE – Senior Member Board of Revenue, Nabeel Javed, stated that the message of Allama Muhammad Iqbal continues to illuminate the path for the younger generation, guiding them from the realm of dreams to their realization and ultimate fulfilment. He expressed these views while addressing a dignified intellectual gathering held at Iqbal Hall Badshahi Mosque on the occasion of the 88th death anniversary of the Poet of the East, organised by Punjab Govt. The seminar  titled “From Dream to Fulfilment: Iqbal’s Thought, Poetry, and Islam ”.  The seminar was attended by Secretary/Chief Administrator Auqaf Punjab Dr Ehsan Bhutta, grandson of Allama Iqbal Muneeb Iqbal, Director General Civil Service Academy Farhan Aziz Khawaja, Director General Religious Affairs Hafiz Anees-ur-Rehman, Khateeb Badshahi Mosque Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, and Administrator Badshahi Mosque Shahid Hameed Virk, along with principals, teachers, and a large number of students from Jamia Masjid Hajveria Mian Mir Complex.  On this occasion, the guests visited the mausoleum of the Poet of the East, Allama Iqbal, offered Fateha, and also visited the newly constructed gallery of Islamic relics. Addressing the participants, Nabeel Javed stated that on the 88th death anniversary of Hakeem-ul-Ummat Allama Dr Muhammad Iqbal (RA), the nation must renew its pledge to recognise its selfhood (Khudi) and continue striving to transform Pakistan into the true reflection of Iqbal’s vision. He further emphasised that Iqbal not only encouraged the youth to dream but also taught them how to translate those dreams into tangible reality and carry them through to completion. He remarked that selfhood (Khudi), confidence, and unwavering perseverance are the essential pillars for building a strong and sovereign Pakistan. On the occasion, Dr Ehsan Bhutta stated that the poetry of Hakeem-ul-Ummat Allama Iqbal (RA) represents the essence of the Holy Qur’an and conveys the profound message of selfhood (Khudi). He noted that Allama Iqbal did not merely present the dream of a separate state for the Muslim Ummah; rather, he provided a comprehensive intellectual roadmap for its realization. He further highlighted that Iqbal’s philosophy of Khudi serves as a guiding framework for transforming aspirations into achievements. He stated that the Auqaf Department Punjab continues to organise such purposeful initiatives aimed at fostering intellectual awakening and moral development among the youth, enabling them to contribute effectively to national progress. He added that nurturing a sense of purpose and character among the youth is essential for building a progressive and resilient society. Muneeb Iqbal said that the message of his illustrious grandfather remains as relevant today as ever, offering timeless guidance to the youth in shaping their character and destiny. He emphasized that Iqbal’s vision urges the younger generation to rise above limitations, embrace self-awareness, and strive for excellence in every sphere of life. In his address, Farhan Aziz Khawaja stated that Iqbal’s thought provides a strong intellectual foundation for leadership, governance, and national development. He remarked that the principles of discipline, vision, and service to humanity, as envisioned by Iqbal, are essential for grooming responsible and capable future leaders. Director General Religious Affairs Hafiz Anees-ur-Rehman stated that Iqbal’s teachings convey a powerful message of awareness, unity, and purposeful struggle for the Muslim Ummah, empowering individuals to transform vision into reality. Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad briefly stated that Iqbal’s message calls for sincerity, action, and steadfast determination. At the conclusion of the seminar, he offered a special dua, praying for the elevation of the ranks of Allama Iqbal and for the unity, prosperity, and stability of Pakistan.
