Court extends Fazeela Abbasi’s interim bail in illegal clinic case

Special Judge Central Humayun Dilawar on Monday granted an extension in the interim pre-arrest bail of TikToker and dermatologist Fazeela Abbasi in a case of the alleged operation of an illegal clinic, directing her to join the ongoing investigation.
Abbasi appeared before the court alongside her counsel, Naeem Bukhari, and filed a pre-arrest bail application. The court approved her interim bail against surety bonds worth Rs50,000 and adjourned the matter until May 5 for further proceedings.
According to officials, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has registered two separate cases against Abbasi in connection with the alleged illegal clinic. She is also currently on bail in a separate money laundering case.
The development follows the dismissal of her earlier pre-arrest bail plea by the same court over non-appearance. In a written order, the judge had rejected an exemption request submitted on medical grounds, terming it a misuse of the pre-arrest bail concession.
Following the dismissal, Abbasi approached the Islamabad High Court (IHC), which granted her interim relief and directed her to seek further remedy before the trial court, paving the way for Monday’s proceedings.
The IHC had earlier also restored her interim bail in the money laundering case and directed her to approach the trial court for further proceedings.
