Offset breaks silence to respond to Lil Tjay’s remarks following casino shooting

During an altercation, a firearm was discharged, resulting in Offset sustaining a non-life-threatening injury

Rapper Offset has publicly responded following reports that he was injured in a shooting near a Florida casino, addressing comments made by fellow artist Lil Tjay.

The incident reportedly took place near the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida, where police allege a confrontation escalated into violence. Authorities said the situation began around 7:22 pm, with claims that members of Lil Tjay’s group were directed to start a fight with another group.

Investigators stated that during the altercation, a firearm was discharged, resulting in Offset sustaining a non-life-threatening injury. He was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital for treatment and is reported to be in stable condition while under medical care.

Offset broke his silence in a social media comment, responding directly to remarks attributed to Lil Tjay. He wrote, “U ain’t buss nun,” a phrase commonly used to dismiss claims or downplay involvement in an incident.

Lil Tjay, whose real name is Tione Merritt, had earlier addressed the situation following his release from custody. “The last thing I see was Offset looking at me like this, ‘Y, that n***a shot me, that n**** shot me!’” he said. He added, “N**** is a rat, n****… I didn’t do no damn fighting. Did I shoot? That s*** is crazy. I will smack the s*** out Offset. He would never play like that with me in his life. Ask Offset.”

His attorney, Dawn Florio, denied any involvement in the shooting, stating that he had not been charged and rejecting claims linking him to the incident.

Police confirmed that Lil Tjay was arrested on a disorderly conduct charge before being released. Authorities also noted that video evidence appears to show him recording parts of the confrontation. The investigation remains ongoing as officials seek to identify additional individuals involved.
