Rosalía recounts brief reunion with ex that ended in shock during podcast interview

She revealed on the Special People Club podcast, how the reconciliation ended after his remark left her stunned

Rosalía has shared details of a brief reconciliation with a former boyfriend that ended abruptly after a remark she described as deeply shocking.

Speaking on a recent episode of the Special People Club podcast, hosted by Esty Quesada, the 33-year-old Spanish singer was asked about the most disappointing thing a man has done to her. In response, she recounted reconnecting with an ex-partner shortly after their break-up.

Rosalía explained that she had dated the man for several years and described him as “emotionally Morse code”. She said the initial separation was his fault, but the pair experienced what she referred to as a “relapse” the following week.

“So then we were in a ‘situation,’” she said, suggesting they were in the throes of intimacy. “At one point he just blurts out, ‘How I’ve missed my wh*re!’”

She added: “I was completely stunned, like, I couldn’t even react. I was very, very shocked … At some point, when I was finally able to react, I got up, left, and obviously never went back. And I never went back after that. I’ve never forgiven him for that.”

The singer did not identify the former partner, choosing instead to keep the tone of the interview aligned with what she has described as the levity of her current Lux era. Her latest album, released in November 2025, includes the singles “Berghain” and “La Perla” featuring Yahritza y su Esencia.
