Jesy Nelson addresses Little Mix rift and possible reconciliation after embracing motherhood

Nelson thinks shared life experiences as mothers could have altered how all members of the group now see the past

Jesy Nelson has said she is open to the idea of a future reconciliation with her former Little Mix bandmates, explaining that motherhood has significantly changed her perspective.

The 33-year-old singer, who left the group in 2020, said becoming a mother to twin daughters Ocean Jade and Story Monroe Nelson-Foster has helped her heal emotionally and reassess past relationships. Speaking to The Sun, Nelson said her daughters “have healed a part of me which I never thought was possible.”

She explained that motherhood has helped her let go of feelings that once felt overwhelming, adding that shared life experiences could have altered how all members of the group now see the past. “We’re all mums now and I can’t speak on behalf of them, but I’d like to think that we probably see things a lot differently now,” she said. Nelson did not confirm whether she has been in recent contact with Perrie Edwards, Jade Thirlwall or Leigh-Anne Pinnock.

Reflecting on her time in Little Mix, Nelson acknowledged both the challenges and the closeness she experienced during her years in the band. “Even though I’ve had crappy times in terms of my mental health and what being in the band did to me, our sisterhood, my relationship that I had with them and the years I did spend with them were amazing,” she said.

Asked about the possibility of repairing relationships or reuniting in the future, Nelson made it clear she is not closing the door. “I think you do, just as you get older anyway, but you know, never say never. I have so much love for them and always will. So never say never [to a reconciliation],” she said.

Earlier this month, Nelson also shared an emotional update about her daughters after revealing they had been diagnosed with a rare genetic condition, describing the period as an extremely difficult time for her family.
