Performance of Alhamra’s Academy faculty reviewed
LAHORE – Lahore Arts Council Alhamra Executive Director Muhammad Nawaz Gondal held an interactive meeting with the faculty members of the Alhamra Academy of Performing Arts at the Alhamra Adbi Bethak, here on Friday. During the meeting, teachers briefed the Executive Director on their academic work, creative contributions, and overall performance. On the special directives of Punjab Minister for Information and Culture Azma Bokhari, the Executive Director announced an increase in the salaries of the faculty members of the Alhamra Academy of Performing Arts. He said that this positive and much-needed initiative was made possible with the full support of the Secretary of Information and Culture, Punjab, Syed Tahir Raza Hamdani, Chairman of the Board of Governors, Lahore Arts Council, Razi Ahmed, and other respected members of the Board of Governors, who played an active and supportive role in this decision. During the meeting, Muhammad Nawaz Gondal also invited constructive suggestions from the faculty to strengthen the Alhamra Academy of Performing Arts further, emphasizing that institutional growth is only possible through a collective vision and shared responsibility. Expressing gratitude over the salary enhancement, the faculty members thanked the Executive Director and reaffirmed their commitment to serving with renewed passion and dedication. Addressing the gathering, the Executive Director stressed that fine arts must be utilized as an effective medium to present Pakistan’s national identity with dignity and strength. He remarked that Pakistan is a nation of rich values and cultural depth, and it is the collective responsibility of cultural institutions like Alhamra to project this true and positive image to the world in the most meaningful manner. Deputy Director Administration Umair Hassan, Deputy Director Programs Waseem Akram, and In-Charge Alhamra Academy Naveen Roma, along with other officials, were also present on the occasion.
