Art exhibition Threads of Strength by FJWU opens


RAWALPINDI  –  The Computer Arts Department of Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU), Rawalpindi, inaugurated an art exhibition titled “Threads of Strength” at Lok Virsa Museum in connection with World Women’s Day, displaying the creative work of women artists. The exhibition featured artworks by Geytee Ara, Maham Imran, Maryam Abid, Mehrbano Khattak, Nabiha Muzzafar, Rashda Faridi, Sidra Ashraf, Dr Tabassum Rafique and Dr Tehmeena Javaid Adeel. Parliamentary Secretary for National Heritage and Culture Division Farah Naz Akbar, who was the chief guest, appreciated the creativity of the artists and highlighted the important role of women in preserving Pakistan’s cultural heritage. Vice Chancellor FJWU Prof Dr Bushra Mirza (Pride of Performance, TI), the guest of honour, praised the talent and vision of young women artists and encouraged them to continue contributing to the country’s cultural and artistic landscape. The exhibition, curated by Sidra Ashraf of FJWU, attracted a large number of visitors and celebrated art, creativity and women’s empowerment.
