Star Wars actor Hayden Christensen has recalled an unusual burglary at his home in which the intruder recognised him, apologised and returned his belongings during the incident.

Speaking at LA Comic Con, Christensen shared the unexpected encounter, as reported by The Nerd Wire.

The actor explained that he was upstairs when he heard someone enter his home. Upon investigating, he found a man holding his possessions.

“I’m like, is this a delivery guy?” Christensen recalled. “And I look and I’m like, this is all my stuff.”

The situation took an unexpected turn when the burglar recognised Christensen and apologised.

According to the actor, the man was struggling financially and had been attempting to raise money for a train ticket home.

Rather than simply reporting the incident, Christensen offered to help. He reportedly gave the man clothes and shoes to support his efforts to secure employment and offered to drive him to the train station and purchase his ticket the following day. However, the man never returned.

Christensen, 45, first portrayed Anakin Skywalker in 2002’s Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones, reprising the role in Revenge of the Sith and later appearing in Obi-Wan Kenobi and Ahsoka.

The actor is also set to return as Anakin in the second season of Ahsoka. During an interview with IGN, Christensen discussed revisiting the character, saying he felt more connected to Anakin after having additional time to understand him.

Ahsoka Season 2 is scheduled to premiere on Disney+ on January 20, 2027, with Rosario Dawson returning as the title character.
