50 Cent mocks Diddy’s reported prison privileges while promoting ‘Street Fighter’

50 Cent and Combs have a long-running public rivalry, with the rapper repeatedly commenting on Combs’ legal troubles

50 Cent has mocked Sean “Diddy” Combs over reports about his life in prison while promoting his upcoming film Street Fighter.

The rapper referenced reports about Combs’ alleged treatment at Fort Dix Federal Correctional Institution in New Jersey, where the rapper is serving a 50-month sentence.

Sharing the trailer for Street Fighter, which is scheduled to reach cinemas on October 16, 50 Cent wrote, “Tickets on sale now in theaters everywhere even Diddy I pad in jail. LOL.”

The post followed a September 29 NBC News report alleging that Combs receives assistance from fellow inmates with cooking, cleaning and laundry.

The report also included claims about massages and the alleged use of a contraband mobile phone.

One anonymous inmate told NBC News, “This is not some normal s**t you see in jail. This is some rich s**t. It looks crazy, but again, it’s Diddy.”

A spokesperson for Combs disputed the characterisation of his prison life, saying, “The continued scrutiny of every mundane detail of Sean Combs’s life in prison has reached the point where the media characterizes ordinary prison life as news.”

The Bureau of Prisons said it could not discuss Combs’ specific living conditions because of “privacy, safety, and security reasons”.

Combs was convicted of two violations of the Mann Act after being acquitted of racketeering and sex trafficking charges. He remains incarcerated while awaiting the outcome of his appeal.

50 Cent and Combs have maintained a long-running public rivalry, with the rapper repeatedly commenting on Combs’ legal troubles and prison sentence.
