Gypsy Rose Blanchard speaks out after fiance’s death

Ken Urker, the partner of Gypsy Rose Blanchard and father of their daughter, Aurora Raina, has died aged 34 on his birthday, TMZ reported.

Urker was found unresponsive at his Louisiana home on Thursday, October 1. The Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office confirmed that officers were called to a residence in Raceland at around 6:15pm, where Urker was found “dead upon arrival”.

Blanchard later addressed Urker’s death, telling People that he had died after an overdose. “I don’t know if it was intentional or not,” she said. “He was not in a good state of mind lately.”

“I’m in disbelief. I can’t think,” Blanchard continued. “I’ve screamed until my throat burns.”

Blanchard said Urker had faced “an unimaginable level of public scrutiny and relentless cyberbullying across social media platforms”.

She added, “The cruelty directed toward him was something no human being should have to endure.”

Blanchard and Urker shared daughter Aurora, who was born in December 2024.

The couple first connected in 2017 while Blanchard was in prison, became engaged, later separated, and eventually reunited in April 2024 following her split from Ryan Anderson.

Remembering Urker, Blanchard said, “He will forever be my soulmate and my red string, a connection that time, distance, and even death can never erase.”

She added, “Above all, Ken loved our daughter, Aurora.” Blanchard also asked for “privacy and compassion” for their daughter and both families as they grieve his death.
