AIOU Introduces New Admission Rules for Pre-Medical and Pre-Engineering 2026
Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has announced revised admission rules for students seeking admission to its HSSC Pre-Medical and Pre-Engineering programmes for the Autumn 2026 semester.
Under the new policy, only candidates who have passed Matric with Science subjects will be eligible to apply. The university has also made it mandatory for applicants to have passed all compulsory and elective subjects in their Matric examination. Students with an F grade in any compulsory or elective subject will not be considered for admission.
AIOU has further directed applicants to submit an attested copy of their Matric Science certificate along with the admission form, clarifying that a result card alone will not be accepted as proof of eligibility.
In addition, all first-semester students have been instructed to get their Matric Science certificate verified by the Inter Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC) and upload the verified document to their CMS account. The university warned that failure to complete this verification process could create difficulties in the issuance of the final certificate.
The updated guidelines are part of AIOU’s Autumn 2026 admission process and are aimed at ensuring that only eligible candidates with verified academic credentials are enrolled in the university’s Pre-Medical and Pre-Engineering programmes.
