Harry Styles takes a tumble at Wembley after ‘choking on water’ mid-show

The singer sparked concern among fans who initially thought he was suffering from a heatstroke

Harry Styles briefly fell on stage during his sold-out concert at London’s Wembley Stadium, prompting concern among fans after videos of the incident spread across social media.

The singer was not affected by the ongoing UK heatwave but instead reportedly lost his balance after briefly choking on water.

The incident occurred near the end of Styles’ performance of “As It Was”. Reports cited by the publication, including information from TMZ, said the singer had taken a sip of water before attempting his signature “whale” stunt, in which he sprays water into the air for the audience.

Instead, Styles appeared to inhale some of the water, triggering a coughing fit.

Fan-recorded videos showed the Grammy-winning singer coughing repeatedly before falling backwards and lying on the stage for several seconds while trying to catch his breath.

The incident quickly fuelled speculation online, as it came during exceptionally high temperatures in London, where conditions were approaching 36°C. Some viewers initially believed the singer had collapsed because of the heat.

Fans shared their concerns on social media, with one writing, “Oh, that man was DYING in the heat.” Another commented, “I nearly had a heart attack watching the live stream. Thought he collapsed from heat or exhaustion!” A third asked, “Why didn’t any of his team notice that he was struggling with his tie? This is so bad.”

The coughing episode reportedly lasted only a few seconds. Styles stood up shortly afterwards, waved to the crowd and exited the stage without injury. He returned for his next scheduled performance at Wembley, indicating the incident did not affect his ongoing tour.
