Pakistan Railways Bans Unauthorized Filming and Photography Nationwide
Pakistan Railways has issued a strict public notice prohibiting unauthorized filming, photography, and content creation related to its operations, infrastructure, and restricted areas across the country.
According to the official directive, bloggers, journalists, vloggers, social media influencers, and even railway employees are not allowed to access, record, or publish any content involving railway premises without prior written approval. The move is aimed at strengthening security protocols and ensuring the safety of critical national infrastructure.
The notice clearly states that any individual found filming or sharing railway-related content without formal permission will face legal and disciplinary action under applicable laws of Pakistan. Authorities emphasized that such restrictions are necessary to prevent misuse of sensitive information and to maintain operational security.
Pakistan Railways has advised individuals and media professionals to seek proper authorization before undertaking any recording activities. For permissions, applicants are directed to contact the Pakistan Railways Headquarters in Lahore.
Officials further highlighted that public cooperation is essential in safeguarding the railway network, which plays a vital role in the country’s transportation system.
