Xiaomi Unveils Poco C81 and C81x With Big Batteries and Affordable Pricing
Xiaomi is expanding its budget lineup with two new C Series smartphones. The company has launched the Poco C81 and Poco C81x, focusing on users who want big screens and strong battery life at affordable prices. While both phones share a similar goal, they differ in performance, features, and software support.
Xiaomi Poco C81
The Xiaomi Poco C81 arrives as the more capable option in the lineup. It runs on the Unisoc T7250 processor, paired with 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM. The device includes 64GB of storage, expandable up to 2TB through a microSD card. It ships with Android 16 based HyperOS 3. Poco promises four major Android upgrades and six years of security updates.
The phone features a 6.9-inch HD+ LCD with a 120Hz refresh rate. It reaches 800 nits HBM brightness, which improves outdoor visibility. A notch on the front holds the 8MP selfie camera. On the rear, the device offers a dual-camera setup, led by a 13MP main sensor.
Battery performance is a key highlight. The Poco C81 packs a 6,300 mAh battery. It supports 15W charging and also offers 7.5W reverse wired charging, allowing users to charge other devices.
Additional features include an IP52 rating and wet touch support. The phone also includes a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, USB-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It comes in a single 4GB/64GB variant with Sunset Gold, Sky Blue, and Elite Black color options.
Xiaomi Poco C81x
The Xiaomi Poco C81x targets users looking for a simpler and more affordable option. It keeps the basics but reduces several specifications compared to the C81.
The device comes with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. It features a 6.88-inch display with 650 nits HBM brightness. On the back, it carries a single 13MP camera instead of a dual setup. The battery capacity is 5,200 mAh.
The phone runs on Android 15 and will receive two major Android upgrades. It also includes four years of security updates. Poco offers the C81x in a single 3GB/64GB configuration. It is available in Ice Blue and Crystal Black colors.
The Poco C81x is priced at INR9,999, which is about $105 or €90. The Poco C81 costs INR10,999, around $115 or €100.
