Punjab Announces 460 Scholarships for Balochistan Students
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has announced 460 scholarships for students from Balochistan for the academic year 2025–26, aiming to expand access to higher education for deserving students.
The scholarship program targets low-income students and seeks to help bridge educational disparities between provinces. Applications are being invited through the Balochistan Education Endowment Fund.
Officials said the initiative will enable more students, particularly those from underserved areas, to pursue higher education and achieve their academic goals.
Mir Sarfraz Bugti welcomed the announcement and thanked the Punjab government for the support, describing it as a positive step toward inter-provincial cooperation and social development.
He also reiterated his government’s commitment to education reforms, including improving school infrastructure, upgrading facilities, and reducing disparities in remote regions.
The scholarship initiative reflects broader efforts to promote a more inclusive and equitable education system across Pakistan while strengthening cooperation between provinces.
